    The 2022 has an expressive, floral, and delicate fruit driven nose of white peach, rock melon and orange blossom. The palate has a refined mineral entry, with hints of salinity. It opens further with notes of citrus and fennel and flavours of pastry and almond. Beautifully balanced on the palate, this wine is fresh and joyous, combining cool fruit notes with fine acidity.

    • The 2022 is a wonderfully red fruited and aromatic Pinot Noir..
    • Spice notes of cardamom and ginger combine with rosehip and pomegranate. A savoury note reminiscent of Manuka smoke and prosciutto mingle enticingly with the red fruits. The palate has an array of flavours ranging from raspberry compote to rhubarb and orange zest. Smooth and supple on the entry, fine tannins are buoy by freshness to a long-sustained finish. Mid ruby in colour, with an almost transparent hue, the 2022 is charming and fresh, while remaining supple and delicious.
    • This beautiful Pinot pairs perfectly with roasted red meat dishes and seasonal vegetables.

  • Ata Rangi Celebre ’21 750ml

    • The 2021 Célèbre is a blend of Syrah 56%, merlot 31%, and small portions of Malbec 7% and cabernet franc at 6%. This is a wonderful vintage of Célèbre, which packs a punch, and will reward cellaring.
    • A low yielding season, giving great intensity and fruit weight to the late ripening varietals that make up our Célèbre blend. 2021 finished with a long dry spell in April that enabled the Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Syrah to reach perfect ripeness.
    • An intense nose of dark scented aromas of aniseed, black liquorice and cardamom draws you in to a palate peppered with ripe plum and black currant. Densely structured and detailed, 2021 is a riper more profound vintage of Célèbre than the lighter more energetic 2020.
    • Pairs well with heartier meats such as beef and lamb as well as tomato-based dishes, pasta, strong cheeses and dark chocolate.
    • This wine will easily cellar for 10+ years and is perfect for drinking from now.

  • Ata Rangi Pinot Noir ’21 750ml

    Made from only our oldest pinot noir plantings on the Martinborough Terrace, this wine is the best of six small vineyards all within 500 m of our winery. The result is a complex, elegant wine, beautifully perfumed in the classic Ata Rangi style.

    A full fragrant nose of juniper, rose petal, and plum meld with spice notes of cardamom and sumac. The palate concentration is exceptional, a hallmark of a small yielding year on the Martinborough Terrace. Buoyed by bright acidity and spice fragrance this is a very compelling release with finely coating tannins that extend the full length of the palate. The 2021 is an exciting wine to cellar as time will allow the more beguiling aromatic side to reveal itself to the full.

    Pinot Noir is easy to please when it comes to pairing with food. It is light enough for salmon or chicken, but complex enough to complement richer red or game meats. Try it alongside game birds such as quail, turkey, and duck; with a fillet of New Zealand salmon; or equally with pork, veal, lamb or venison.

    This wine will easily cellar for 15+ years and is perfect for drinking from now.
