DVB “Hop Drop” NZ Hazy IPA 12 x 440ml 6.5%

This year’s Hop Drop is straight dynamite. Hop Drop 2026 keeps the series rolling but flips the script, locking in on bright, tropical lime-driven NZ character. Brewed for Smith’s NZ IPA Challenge and gunning for one thing - the title of best NZ IPA in New Zealand. Same attitude as the earlier Hop Drops, new expression: sharp, modern, and proudly Aotearoa.

Flavours: A light pilsner malt base with a solid dose of wheat, dextrine malt and flaked grains builds a soft, pillowy body that lets the hops detonate. Riwaka brings punchy, bold tropical and citrus. Motueka layers in zesty lime, lemon drop and mojito-like notes. Freestyle’s new Limequat blend fires off fresh tropical lime, citrus and a subtle floral edge. Fermented with WLP008 East Coast Ale Yeast, it pours hazy, drinks juicy, and packs saturated NZ hop flavour from first sniff to final sip.
