Impenetrable black color. Classic Fonseca nose, dominated by lush and pleasant fruit, a powerful dense and dark perfume of blackberries and currants, which slowly release an intoxicating mix of spices and herbs aromas, seductive notes of coffee and cocoa, hints of dried plum and wild aromas of rock-rose. The thick, velvety tannins give the wine a voluptuous density that integrates easily with the sumptuous infusion of blackberry jam, dark chocolate and licorice, coating the palate. The tannins are also present on the finish, which overflows in blackberry and currant flavor.

Fonseca has been part of the first category of Vintage Port wine producers since the mid-19th century.
