Gibbston Valley China Terrace Chardonnay '23 750ml

Handpicked from our China Terrace vineyard and whole bunch pressed, this Chardonnay captures purity and finesse. Only the very best free run juice (550L per tonne) was used, then fermented in French barriques and puncheons, with 20% new oak adding subtle layers of complexity. Indigenous yeast and full natural malolactic fermentation bring texture and depth, while ten months on lees has given the wine its signature elegance.

Pale straw colour. Some golden peach, honeydew and sweet white florals on the nose. The palate expands subtly with quiet grace. The impression is of finesse and elegance with layers of creamy fruit.

The result is a precise, flinty style with beautiful length and poise.

Excellent over the next 5-8 years.
